Yoga With Stella: Part 2

Oh I've got you another video for today!
First, I'm going to show you pictures of Stella during her night time yoga.

Stella looking through her "Cosminoculars".

Scratching her nails on the mat thinking it was neat.

Doing the Tree Pose and wobbling about.

Stretching her sides.

And here's the video of Stella's yoga adventures.

She does her yoga every morning! If I don't turn it on first thing she'll keep coming up to me going, "Mommy, Yoga?"
She thinks its even better when I do yoga with her.
Do you and your little ones do yoga? Tell me in the comments below!

That Home Feeling

Waking up bright and early I go for my walk. Holy cow it is insanely beautiful outside.
Today I feel like talking about beauty where you are currently at.

That one cloud.

Long story short, moving to Florida was not as exciting as you may think. I have been living here since late 2003. It took a long time to call Florida my home. I think I was 16 when I was coming home from a trip in New York to have the feeling of Back-Homeness.
I already knew where we were living was a beautiful town but that year I had that warmth of being home. I saw everything differently. I don't know what made it happen but it did. Maybe I got over the fact I wasn't moving back to where I came from anytime soon so I finally gave in to around my surroundings.
Some advice, don't ignore your surroundings. Every time you go for a visit, or go to move give in to that feeling and make that little part feel like home.
Today was a day like that. Sun just rising and wind blowing like crazy, even though living in a way too busy shit of a town it is beautiful in it's own way.

Here's a picture from James Katsipis to give some inspiration.
I mean wtf right.
Insanely beautiful.
Go check him out!

Overall feel and see where ever you are as home!
Tell me what do you find to stunning, right now, look around you, walk outside what ever it may be, describe it and the feeling to me.

Getting Creative.

Today I am going to talk about finding our creative side and seeing the beauty in everything.

Before I started doing photography I never really saw what the real world looked liked. I didn't see beauty in bugs, wood, or just random things. I always was a big fan of National Geographic, and what I use to do is cut out pictures of photography and art and I always thought "How do they catch such beautiful things of something so small?" Then I picked up my first camera at age almost 15 years old. It was a little crappy Cannon that ate batteries like no tomorrow so I made sure those pictures count. So what I did I took my camera with me every time I walked my dogs. Then my gaze of things widened. Since I have started my photography I began seeing the beauty in everything big and small. Even in the most rumbled areas I can find more beauty than bad. For example, around Christmas time I saw a homeless man at the corner and how its a horrible situation then moments later I caught the beauty, a man walked up to the homeless man and handed him money and I caught it. The smile on his face was priceless. So now the more I look at the world the more beauty I see form an over grown empty lot to a dying sunflower I now see the beauty in it all.

Photography tip of the day:
To expand your creative eye.
Start taking pictures of EVERYTHING.
Use your photo editor of choice, crop, saturate, and tint until you see it.

This book by Bryan Peterson is an excellent place to start: Click this pic to have a look inside the Book :)
