Three Simple D.I.Y's for Pampering!

Today I will be discussing some awesome techniques aka DIY's to make things simpler for yourself! I would recommend adding this to your weekly or monthly regimen of pampering! Now we all work very hard, whether your are sitting, or standing around all day, and we all need to treat our selves o I'm going to share 3 DIY's  for you!

First, why not make yourself a lovely foot soak? I personally have not tried this yet, but I will be making this awesome Lime Mint Foot Soak by Tidy Mom. We all know what a pain in the butt it is to b on your feet all day, so treat yourself or a loved one to a wonderful soak.

What you'll need is 2 cups of epsom salt mixed with 1/2 cup of baking soda and zest of one lime in a large bowl add 3-4 drops of Peppermint essential oil. With a wooden spoon mix thoroughly, then pour the mixture into a mason jar or a bag. Make sure you use within a few weeks. Have it stored in a cool dark place, like the refrigerator if using zest. If you want to have it last longer omit the zest.

Benefits of this soak:
Epsom Salt will sooth aches, eliminate smells and soften up rough skin.
Baking Soda is good for exfoliating, leaving your skin soft and smooth.
Lime is routinely used for its energizing fresh and cheerful aroma. Also known in folklore for its ability to cleanse, purify and renew the spirit and mind.
Peppermint is uplifting, the menthol induces a cooling sensation allowing your body to cool down and ease tension headaches and pains.

Next is this oh so luscious Wrinkle Smoothing Wine Facial! Here's a lovely DIY I found from Real Simple. I don't know about you but sometime's I don't pay enough attention to my face, when everyone really should wrinkles or not. This facial is going to feel amazing and help your skin.

What you're gonna need is 1/4 of a cup of Wine, 1/4 cup of kaolin clay, 2 tablespoons of grape seed oil, and 1 tablespoon of organic oat flour, Combine all the ingredients, and then apply to your face, neck and decolletage. Leave on for about 10-15 minuets then rinse off with warm water.

The benefits and how it works Resveratrol, a powerful antioxidant found primarily in red wine but also in smaller amounts in white, may help to repair the damage caused by sun exposure that can lead to wrinkles and sagging, according to a growing body of scientific research. Kaolin clay draws out impurities, while the grape seed oil moisturizes and hydrates and the oat flour gently exfoliates.

I can't even begin how good coconut oil is for your hair and skin! First, let me share with you a 2 ingredient scalp treatment. You'll need 1 cup of coconut oil and 10-15 drops of Lavender essential oil. And if you want add 3-4 drops of Peppermint oil to add stimulation. Mix it all together and apply to scalp with a brush.  Leave on for about 30 minuets to an hour. Or you can leave it on all day then wash out later. What ever floats your boat.

A bunch of benefits Prevents hair loss, Helps damaged hair, hair toning, and if you have kids this is great for lice protection. Really the list can go on about coconut oil for your hair and skin! To get more in depth with the benefits go to Organic Facts!

Grow Your Hair Healthier and Faster

There are many nicks and tricks to healthier faster growing hair the list can go on!
We all know eating balanced and vitamin filled food helps tremendously,
but I'm going to tell you what I do at least once every two weeks.

Things You'll Need
1-2 Big Aloe Stick
1/2 cup Rosemary Water
1 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar
1 tsp Raw Honey
First
Your going to need to grab a good hand full of Rosemary or a few branches and place in a pan of water.
Put on medium high for a good simmer and keep in like this for a good 30 mins.

Rosemary has been used for thousands of years as a scalp and hair treatment. It is traditionally known to slow the appearance of grey hairs, to help curly hair, and to low-light the darker hair pigments. You can dye your hair dark using a combination of black walnut hull and rosemary. It has also been used to treat dandruff, and to give hair a nice glossy look. Its anti-viral, anti-fungal, and anti-bacterial properties can easily explain its use as a dandruff treatment. Rosemary is known to increase circulation in the body, and the increased circulatory effects to the scalp could explain a lot of the benefits we see for healthy happy hair. ~ Natural Living Mama

Add a teaspoon of Apple Cider Vinegar.

Second
While your Rosemary is cooking up
your going to grab some aloe stick from the garden, and if you don't have
any go to your local health food store and you can get a jug of Aloe Vera.

Cut them off the plant then cut in sections.

Take out the ooy gooy and place into a bowl.
Aloe Vera is has more than 20 minerals and vitamin A, B1, B2, B6, B12, C and E
that are essential for hair growth. ~Beauty Solutions

Third
Once everything is said and done, strain the Rosemary water into
the bowl with the Aloe Vera along with the tsp of Raw Honey.
Get out your blender. I use this kind.
But you can also throw it all in a blender.
Blend until all mushed and a bit foamy.
Place in a jar and leave out for at least 30 minuets before applying  to scalp.
When it's time brush out your hair and ad this to all of your roots leave in for 10 minuets then wash out. Repeat this 15-20 days to promote growth and keep healthy.

Wait were not done yet! Have extra jars laying around?! Good!
Take you Aloe skins and some extra Rosemary, if there is any left, and place them in the jar full of water. Leave over a night or two and next time you take a shower after your done with the shown rinse your hair with the Aloe/Rosemary water.

I hoped you enjoyed my little DIY for Hair!

The Feel Good Blogging Challenge: Day 3- How To Make The Everything Cleaner!

I love this cleaner hands down. When I say it's for everything, I mean for everything!

I was introduced to this about 5 years ago, and since then I haven't turned away.

First things first!
Collect them citus peels!
Use any you prefer, lime, orange, lemon, grapefruit
you name it it works and smells wonders.
Find a glass jar and put those peels in it. Fill it all the way up!

And Then!
Fill up the jar with either Apple Cider Vinegar or White Vinegar.
I use ACV.
Also make sure you mark the date for when you can start using it.

After Two Weeks...
Of it all soaking together it is ready to be poured into your spraying container.
Then to fill it up some more use water.

This is the one I use. It's almost time to add more!
After this now it's time for your to clean away!

I use it on Everything!
-Gotta clean that tub?
No problem.
I spray first, then cover the tub up in some baking soda
and spray the Cleaner over it.
Let it soak for 15 mins.
And Bam with a tad bit of elbow grease that tub is clean!

-Even on mirrors!
I know right?
Makes them spotless.

Hope you enjoyed this post! Do you too use this? Tell me you thoughts.

Much Love,
Sara Litardo
