Address change and more!

Today we headed out to the post office to change our address. It's so stinking exciting how something as simple as changing your address can effect a big part of your life.  

I also called the Dmv to set up an appointment to turn in my application for a drivers license. First I have to take the permit test.

  I have a little over a month to go and pass this thing. I am doing what I can now to help me later. Like watching YouTube videos on how to parallel park or do a three point turn lol. I definitely have to get my backing up skills on point.

 Other than that I'm pretty good at it lol.

I can't wait to get it all started.  I also called the school over here for Stella. 

She can't enroll just yet because they ended the registrations in January.

 But this also gives me enough time to get started at the Waldorf school for September. Since I should most definitely have a car by then I'll be more than willing drive her to that school hands down. 

I cannot wait! This spring and summer is going to be the most amazing and beautiful.

Merrily We Meet: Week 2

Stella again had oh so much fun with everyone! 

Met some new faces and enjoyed playing and running. 

This Morning before we got going out into the world.

Cart Pushin' Time!

Today was definitely a lot of fun. She wasn't in the mood to sing a long to the songs, which was cute.

Stella was fast and snuck over to the Kindergarten side of the play ground. 

They have a little play house and she just loves those things, 

I need to get on asap for her. 

Any who I hope you enjoyed this little montage of pictures. 

I think I should bring my actual camera next time. 

Oh on a quick note, Suncoast Waldorf is having A Day of Enchantment on April 25th! 

So if you are close by you should definitely go! 

Mom will be able to come with me and finally see the school for herself. I can't wait!

Merrily We Meet: Week 1

Today was an amazing adventure! 

As of a couple weeks ago I was able to register Stella in the Merrily We Meet 

program at the Suncoast Waldorf. And boy oh boy she had so much fun and made new friends! 

She got along with everyone and even gave a few hugs out. 

First thing the little ones did is play with the toys and get to know each other a bit. 

Right off the bat Stella was handing over toys to the other kids. 

She wanted to brings toys over to me too and make sure I got a little involved,

 but only minutes later she brought the toys back to the floor and played more. 

After a good 40 mins or so everyone starred putting toys away slowly. 

Stella was sitting in a rocking pony observing how it was all being handled. 

I likes how it wasn't a rush of putting the toys back because once all the little ones saw how it was happening they helped. When all the toys were put back we all got in a 

circle and did a little sing a long. Stella loooves sing alongs so she was all 

about learning the hand movements and catching the tune.

Next was putting back on our shoes and going outside to play some more.

 Stella and two other little ones went straight to the slide. 

She even waited and cheered someone on while they were a little to scared to go down. 

As soon as they did Stella jumped with joy and they ran around and did it over again. 

She also played in the sand, went for a swing, and even tried a seesaw for the first time.

When it was all said and done it was time for goodbyes, Stella was sad but not so so sad, because she knew she was coming back. 

We'll be going every Tuesday for the next 8 weeks. 

I didn't get many pictures because I didn't think we could until last minuet. 

So here's a few of Stella pushing a cart!

Waldorf Education for Stella

On Thursday morning Arsenio, Stella and I went to visit the Suncoast Waldorf School. I have to say... I am in LOVE! This is exactly what I want for Stella's education. 

When we first walked up to the school my heart dropped in AWE. They play ground was a grove of Live Oaks. They had ropes swings from trees and the leaves were flowing down so magickally on the ground. We walked up to the lady who was giving us a tour, and she could tell by the look on my face that this was it! The first class we walked into was a Kindergarten class. Stella was just mesmerized by the children sitting at the table getting ready for snack time singing along with their teacher. She just stood there examining them. She definitely wanted to join them.

After we left that room the tour guide told us their routine for full and half days. It's spectacular. 

All they do is play, imagine, and work their little brains fill up with creativity and imagination.

As we walked down the hall way they were colored so beautifully. Kids art everywhere! What I also love, not one plastic toy in sight. The toys are ALL made with wood and they create their own dolls. They are taught to take care of the wood with bees wax. 

"In these environments, imagination and creativity flourish with children participating in meaningful tasks that develop coordination and cooperative social skills, while unfolding creative and imaginative capacities that build a strong foundation for later academics." -Suncoast Waldorf: Early Childhood  

 

 We moved on to see the first grade classroom and they were having their playtime. Stella saw one of the girls playing with a horse. The little girl let her play with it and Stella gave it right back when we were done. I mean how cute is that! As we moved on all the little ones loved seeing Stella! We moved onto the outside to see where they play. For full day students, they play outside three times a day, and for half day students I believe they go outside twice. They even eat outside when the weather is right. They also have a beautiful garden and edibles growing everywhere. They have a rabbit they take out for a walk to eat the weeds and fertilize the ground and an awesome compost.

From grades 1-5 they have an artistic, holistic approach to learning. The Curriculum is; Humanities and History, Science, Language arts, Foreign Languages, Geography, Mathematics, Performing Arts and Practical Arts. The best part is they don't have Text Books, the children create their own text book! Walking into the 1-5 classrooms were amazing! They start teaching the kids German and Spanish in 1st grade! I LOVE that! They are also taught the history of all religions. One of the class rooms we walked into we learning about Norse Religion and all the projects they had around with ruins and learning about the gods was just beautiful.

Sweet Random Rambles

Oh sweet sun. Sorry I haven't written in a week. 

One thing I know for sure is no matter how much I love the looks of Washington state I could never live there with all of that cloudy-ness. 

Being stuck in a house with no transportation on ugly cloudy days just doesn't suit me well.

During this cloudy lock down madness, I have been up to date with my journal. 

Did any of my readers get their journal that I talked about a few posts back? 

If you have, have you been writing daily? 

I find it to be a fantastic way of clearing my thoughts out and help relieve some stress.

I also have some cute photo's to share of Stella in her tutu!

 Boy I gotta get a tutu for every day of the week that's for sure. 

Golly that kid is growing so fast! It's already time to think about school. 

My heart is set on her going to a Waldorf school. I'll be making an appointment to go to the school and get info and all that fun jazz.

 Second choice is a Montessori school near us. They are having a little event this Saturday, so my mom and I are gonna head over there and see how it is and Stella can have fun on the moon bounce lol. I also want to home school Stella. Either when we get our own place so she can have her own room to study either way or when she gets older. 

The Waldorf school goes up to 5th grade here and the Montessori goes up to 8th grade. So either way I will be homeschooling her if we stay in Florida. 

Future I wanna be in Vermont and she'll be going to the Waldorf school there. 

Ok well enough of my rambles!
